The new Featherston.org.nz website has officially gone live, just in time for the 2025 Featherston Booktown Festival. Created by Wairarapa Web Design, the site has been developed as a central hub to showcase everything that makes Featherston and the wider South Wairarapa district special. Designed to promote local events, activities, and community spirit, the website highlights iconic happenings such as Booktown, Matariki celebrations, markets, arts events, and more.
Built using WordPress on a tight timeline, the project was a collaborative effort between Wairarapa Web Design and Jo from The Design Space, who provided design support and creative input. The result is a clean, user-friendly platform where locals and visitors can stay updated, discover what’s on, and learn more about the area.
The site also features a dedicated news section, Featherston News, which will be regularly updated with stories, community updates, and articles relevant to the region. From festivals to local initiatives, Featherston.org.nz offers an exciting digital space that reflects the town’s energy and creativity. Going live just ahead of Booktown 2025 marks a significant milestone in supporting and promoting the cultural life of the community and strengthening Featherston’s presence online.
