Tauherenikau’s Waitangi Day Races are one of Wairarapa’s classic summer outings. Rally the crew, bring a picnic or enjoy food on site, and settle in for a relaxed day at the track.
Alongside eight races running from early afternoon, there’s live music, bouncy castles, miniature train rides, Zappo the Magician and plenty to keep kids entertained, including fun on-track races between events.
Gates open from 8am. Entry is $20 for adults, with free entry for kids 16 and under. Punters Club tickets are available, with licensed bars and limited BYO permitted.
